Jose Mourinho was sacked by Chelsea in December 2015 after a dismal start to the season and a poor Premier League title defence.
The Portuguese lost nine of his 16 matches in charge of the Blues that season and was replaced by former boss Guus Hiddink on a temporary basis.
Reports at the time suggested Mourinho had lost control of the dressing room and the players are said to have wanted him out.

However, defender Kurt Zouma has admitted he has no guilt regarding the sacking of the 54-year-old who has since found his feet at Manchester United.
"My first year at Chelsea we won the Capital One Cup and then the Premier League - I was dreaming," Zouma told The Mirror.
"But managers go. It’s part of football. I don’t feel guilty. Mourinho’s gone, let’s think about the future.
"It was a bad season but now we are doing well again.
"[Antonio] Conte loves what he does. He wants to give that special feeling to us. We need to love football like he does, to breathe football. That’s what he wants.
"I didn’t know him [Conte] before, he didn’t know me. He’d just watched me in the odd game on TV, but just one or two times maybe. Then he said he trusted me. Those words made a difference."
