Rangers have sold Matt Gilks to Wigan
Wigan have agreed an undisclosed fee for Gilks, who will move after receiving international clearance.
He will be the Latics' third-choice goalkeeper and the 34-year-old admits he's been wanting the move for some time.
“It’s been a few weeks in the making but to get it done and finally say I am a Wigan Athletic player is what I have been wanting to do for a few weeks, so I am delighted," Gilks said.

“It’s a chance to freshen up for me; I went to Rangers in the summer and gave it my all up there to try and get into the team but the manager didn’t really play me other than in the cup games.
“It’s good to move back to the north-west as well, that plays a part with my family and it works out well for me coming here.
“I know Jussi very well; I actually started training at Euxton with him when I was a young lad at Rochdale and he was at Bolton.
“Young Jakob has come in and done very well too so it’s a good bit of competition all round and the goalkeeping department I feel looks strong now.”

Gilks has signed an 18-month contract at the DW Stadium.
"Matt adds competition to the squad and we are delighted to welcome him on board, he's a highly experienced keeper who has played in every division and knows the league inside out," Wigan manager Warren Joyce told the club's website.
"We are delighted to have been able to secure his signature."
The move comes after Ranges signed Jak Alnwick from Port Vale yesterday.
