CHELSEA cruised through to the fifth round of the FA Cup with an emphatic victory over Brentford at Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea thumped Brentford to reach the FA Cup fifth round
Chelsea produced a classy performance to put their London rivals to the sword.
It took the current Premier League table-toppers just 14 minutes to make the breakthrough.
Willian bent a trademark free-kick into the top right corner for a sixth goal of the season.
Pedro opened the scoring for Chelsea in the 14th minute
Chelsea doubled their lead seven minutes later.
Pedro, rejuvenated under Antonio Conte this season, slotted home a second after a sublime pass from Michy Batshuayi.
Brentford rallied after the break but were made to pay for their lack of ruthlessness in front of goal.
Michy Batshuayi completed the rout late on
Conte brought on Branislav Ivanovic in what could be his last appearance for the club.
And the Serbia international rose to the occasion to add a third, driving home after Pedro’s pass.
Chelsea completed the rout with just nine minutes left on the clock.
Batshuayi, in for Diego Costa, coolly dispatched a penalty after a foul on Ivanovic.
