But Klopp is convinced the defender is ready to face Southampton in the EFL Cup Semi-final despite his long absence.
“He's a good player, Klopp said.
“He played 60 minutes for the under-21s at the weekend. That was good. It was important for him.
“Daniel Sturridge, another good player, the line-up is good.
"I believe that the way to the final should be difficult. It is difficult but it is possible as well."
