The Benfica centre-half has been the subject of strong interest from Manchester United this month.
Reports emerged over the weekend suggesting United were deliberating over a decision to sign the 22-year-old before the transfer window closes.
Jose Mourinho had made it clear however, he wouldn’t make any defensive acquisitions, as he is happy with the options available to him.

Conte has been tracking several defenders, although recently recalled Nathan Ake from his loan spell with Bournemouth.
Inter Milan have also been keeping tabs on Lindelof, as they seek to strengthen their rearguard.
