Everton boss Ronald Koeman: This is why Morgan Schneiderlin didn't start at Crystal Palace
AFTER paying Manchester United £20million for Morgan Schneiderlin manager Ronald Koeman is refusing to guarantee him a first team place.
Morgan Schneiderlin came off the bench during Everton's 1-0 win over Crystal Palace
He left the French midfielder on the bench for an hour at Crystal Palace.
And the hint afterwards was that it might not be the first time either if Everton continue the run that brought them a 1-0 win yesterday.
Koeman explained that he left Schneiderlin out of his starting lineup because he felt to include him would have been unfair on the players who walloped Manchester City 4-0 last week.
He said:"It wasn't fair to leave anyone out from the team that did so well last week. That's why he didn't start today and I told him so."
Schneiderlin came on for half an hour yesterday in place of Gareth Barry, but was outshone by Ross Barkley and Tom Davies in Everton's midfield.
