Premier League boss hands Chelsea transfer blow: I hope this deal for star man is done
SLAVEN BILIC hopes a new deal for West Ham star Michail Antonio will waive off interest from Chelsea.
Michail Antonio deserves a new deal at West Ham, according to Slaven Bilic
Chelsea boss Antonio Conte has reportedly been impressed by Antonio's goal-scoring exploits for West Ham this season.
The 26-year-old has scored eight Premier League goals this season and his versatility has also been a trait that has attracted the interest of Conte.
But Bilic wants West Ham to fight off any potential transfer for their star man by offering him a new and improved contract soon.
Antonio Conte has reportedly been keeping an eye on Michail Antonio
“He is a player who came last season to us and he has improved a lot. He came for the future but is now one of the most important players for us," Bilic said.
"When a player is like that and of a good age as well, he attracts interest from other clubs.
"I don’t know all the details but I hope a new deal is close, even done.

"He totally deserves it with his behaviour, work-rate, energy and his assists. He is a character and it is that basically makes the difference."
Antonio joined West Ham in 2015 from Nottingham Forest for £7million and has quickly established himself as a key member of Bilic's side.
