Aston Villa defender confirms medical ahead of January transfer move
ASTON VILLA defender Aly Cissokho has confirmed he is set to undergo a medical at Olympiakos.

Cissokho has hardly featured for Aston Villa under Steve Bruce, making just two appearances for the Championship club since he took charge in mid-October.
Bruce has favoured Cissokho's French compatriot Jordan Amavi at left-back.

And now the former Liverpool defender is set for a loan move to Greek Super League giants Olympiakos until the end of the season.
The 29-year-old said ahead of his move to Greece: "I am very happy and proud to be here on behalf of Olympiakos.
"There are still some typical details to be completed, such as medical tests.

"Once they are completed, I can celebrate my transfer to Olympiakos."
The Birmingham Mail claim Olympiakos will have the option to turn Cissokho's loan into a permanent deal in the summer.
Cissokho, who has won just one cap for France, has just 18 months remaining on his contract at Aston Villa.
