Manchester United transfer blow: Inter Milan plot swoop for defender
INTER MILAN are set to rival Manchester United for Roma defender Kostas Manolas, according to reports in Italy.

Kostas Manolas emerged as a target for Manchester United last week with The Sun claiming a £32.5million bid was on the table.
The report said Jose Mourinho has been a long-term admirer of the Greece international and wants him to cover for Eric Bailly who is away at the African Cup of Nations.
However, according to Italian website CalcioMercatoWeb, Serie A giants Inter Milan are set to make a rival bid for the centre-back.

It is said Inter are plotting a summer move for the 25-year-old when they are no longer under the pressures of Financial Fair Play rules.
Roma are reportedly struggling to tie Manolas down to a new long-term deal and negotiations have stalled.
And Inter are expected to re-shape their whole defence in July, with Joao Miranda, Andrea Ranocchia and Jeison Murillo tipped to leave the San Siro.
Manolas is under contract with Roma until July 2019.
He has become a first-team regular since joining from Olympiacos in 2014, making 107 appearances for Luciano Spalletti’s side.
