TREVOR SINCLAIR has named Chelsea star David Luiz as his surprise player of the Premier League season so far.

Luiz rejoined Chelsea from Paris Saint-Germain in a £32million deal on transfer deadline day.
Eyebrows were raised when the deal was announced after the Brazilian's less than convincing first spell in west London.
But the 29-year-old has since impressed playing at the back in Antonio Conte’s 3-4-3 system, helping the Blues to the top of the Premier League table.

He's executed what he's been asked to do really well and he just looks a natural player in that position
And Sinclair has now named Luiz's as his surprise player of the Premier League season.
Sinclair said: "My surprise player as an individual has got to be David Luiz.
"I knew he was a good player, we know he has go great ability on the ball, but for me it's his concentration and his discipline this season. I feel Antonio Conte has got a lot of credit to take for that.

"A lot of eyebrows were raised when they bought him, a lot of people were sniggering thinking it was a bad buy, but in that formation, he [Conte] has picked a perfect position for him.
"He's executed what he's been asked to do really well and he just looks a natural player in that position.
"Credit to the player and credit to the manager for making sure that he sticks to the plan and executes what he wants him to do in the team."
