Loris Karius was dropped by Jurgen Klopp following Liverpool's 2-2 draw with West Ham in November after the 23-year-old made a string of errors.
The former Mainz man has spent the last five Premier League games on the bench, losing his No 1 spot to Simon Mignolet.
However, Klopp has claimed Karius will be given a shot at returning to the first-team if he impresses in Sunday's FA Cup clash with League Two side Plymouth.

“He [Karius] trained outstanding. It’s good to see," Klopp said.

"We cannot ignore the pressure. We have to cope and we have to deal with it. That’s why we make the change.
"I’m sure Loris will benefit from this. Simon has done an outstanding job. Loris forces him to train at a high level.
Asked if Karius would be start against Plymouth, Klopp claimed there was a 'big chance'.
Speaking about his decision to drop Karius for Mignolet, Klopp said last month: "There was a lot of talk around this position, but that’s not the reason to push Loris.
"He’s a much better goalkeeper than he showed in the last game.
"It’s a long-term approach, especially if you have a goalkeeper like Simon, who’s training at a high level. That’s all."
