Manchester United have reportedly offered Antoine Griezmann a £220,000-a-week contract to move to Old Trafford.
Jose Mourinho is keen to make a marquee signing.
United have been on Atletico Madrid striker Griezmann’s trail in recent months, although the La Liga club are currently under a transfer embargo.
And according to The Sun, United have held talks with the Frenchman’s representatives.

It is suggested Griezmann has been offered the same contract package as Paul Pogba - £220,000 a week plus identical bonuses.
United will wait until the summer before replacing Morgan Schneiderlin or Memphis Depay, according to reports.
Everton are hoping to complete a deal for Schneiderlin, while Memphis could leave Old Trafford even though no club have formally submitted an offer.
A loan switch has been talked up for the winger.
However, the Daily Mail claim Mourinho won’t look to replace the duo immediately.

Instead, it is thought he will delay making moves until the summer where it is believed they could get value for their money.
United have reportedly made a £32.5m bid for Roma centre-half Kostas Manolas.
Mourinho is looking to bring in a defender, with a move for Victor Lindelof stuttering.
And according to The Sun, United have made Manolas their top target.
Mourinho tried to sign Manolas last summer.
