But his father Wilson Rodriguez has put a dent in Chelsea and United's hopes of signing his son after confirming that he will be staying at the Bernabeu.
"James is committed to Real Madrid and has a contract. He's going to stay there," he told Honduran media outlet Diez.

While Chelsea have continued to maintain interest in the playmaker despite manager Antonio Conte failing to bring him to Stamford Bridge last summer.
Rodriguez has made just three league starts this season and is contracted to Real until the summer of 2020.
