Arsenal eye Man Utd's Smalling
Arsenal want to sign Manchester United defender Chris Smalling if he becomes available this month, according to reports.
United manager Jose Mourinho is said to be ready to give up on Smalling, with a deal to sign Benfica’s Victor Lindelof in the Portuguese boss’ sights.
The Daily Star Sunday claim the Lindelof deal, which is far from complete, would force Smalling out of Old Trafford.
And the report claims Arsenal and Everton would gladly take the England defender off Mourinho’s hands.
Arsenal have conceded 19 goals in 18 league games so far this season and face Crystal Palace in today’s 4pm kick off.

Liverpool could land Hart
Joe Hart wants to join Liverpool in the summer, according to the Sunday Mirror.
Manchester City goalkeeper Hart is currently on a season-long loan stint at Torino.
But he supposedly wants to return to the Premier League - although not with City.
According to the report, Hart has told friends he is keen to play under Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp.
Klopp has struggled to find a solution to Liverpool’s goalkeeping problems - with Simon Mignolet and Loris Karius both out of form - and so a move for England international Hart may make sense.

Celtic transfer boost
Chelsea’s £60million bid to sign Southampton defender Virgil van Dijk is set to land Celtic a hefty sell-on fee.
Express Sport understands Chelsea have launched a bid to sign Dutchman Van Dijk in order to stop Manchester City securing a deal.
Celtic will earn a 10 per cent cut of any transfer fee Southampton generate from the sale of Van Dijk.
And the Hoops could secure as much as £6m from the deal.
It is understood Southampton do not wish to sell their 25-year-old centre-back but Chelsea’s up-front offer may be too large to refuse.
