Phil Jones reveals how he has saved his Manchester United career
PHIL JONES has revealed he has drastically changed his post-match routine.
Phil Jones has become a first-team regular for Manchester United this season
Jones joined Manchester United in 2011 from Blackburn and was deemed to be one of the most promising young defenders in English football.
But a number of injury setbacks and poor performances for United have seen him take a backseat in recent seasons, and he was almost let go by the club over the summer.
However, injuries to defensive duo Chris Smalling and Eric Bailly this season has meant Jose Mourinho has come to rely on the 24-year-old, and he has not been disappointed.

Jones has started the last seven Premier League games for the Red Devils and Mourinho has praised his new "sharp, fast and agile" performances.
And the former Blackburn man has revealed part of the reason for his improved form has been a change to his post-match recovery routine.
"I think as I've got older I've become wiser to recovery and realised how important it is," Jones said.
"When I was younger you think you know it all and after games you probably just go for some food or sit on your PlayStation.

"Now I take it a lot more seriously and recover properly because I know I need to give myself the best possible chance to be as fresh and as fit as I can for the next game."
Jones has made nine appearances for United this season in all competitions and is under contract at Old Trafford until June 2019.
