Bailly looks set to recover in time to face Sunderland on Boxing Day after he was back in action today in training.
Mourinho played down fears that Bailly would require surgery after he was ruled out of Saturday’s win over West Brom - but was optimistic of having him fit to face the Black Cats.
When asked about the severity of Bailly's injury over the weekend, Mourinho told Sky Sports: "I don't know how long, but no surgery.

"By the movement on the pitch we thought meniscus but no. It's a question to see the evolution. Hopefully we have him for these last two matches at home."
Bailly, who signed in the summer for £30million, has just three games to go before he leaves for the Ivory Coast’s Africa Cup of Nations campaign.
