West Ham send transfer warning to Manchester United and Arsenal: January move ruled out
WEST HAM insist Dimitri Payet is not for sale under any circumstances, according to reports.
Mark Noble discusses Dimitri Payet's future
West Ham's star playmaker has raised doubt this week over his future in east London.
Payet refused to rule out a move away from the Hammers, claiming he "was not closing the door to anything".
Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho is said to be a fan of the France international, while Payet also suggested playing for Arsenal would be "fun".
However, according to Sky Sports, West Ham have quashed any suggestion they will lose the Ballon d'Or nominee in the January transfer window.
West Ham have insisted Dimitri Payet will not be sold in January following his suggestive comments
Slaven Bilic said last week after a discussion with Payet that he is focused on the Hammers and only thinking about their season.
And the club have taken a stand to ensure West Ham supporters they will not see the ex-Marseille man leave.
A senior source at West Ham told Sky Sports that Payet will definitely stay in the New Year, and no key players will depart either.
Arsene Wenger could be intrigued by Dimitri Payet's talk about Arsenal
I would be shocked to see [Payet] go before the end of January
January is expected to be a busy month in the window at the London Stadium, with the likes of Chelsea's Michy Batshuayi, Liverpool's Daniel Sturridge and Manchester United's Marouane Fellaini on their target list.
With the team sitting 13th in the Premier League table, a top half finish is still on the agenda despite their collective poor form.
And on Payet, who's contracted at West Ham until 2021, captain Mark Noble has reiterated he expects to still be playing alongside him come February.
“I would be shocked to see him go before the end of January," Noble told Sky Sports. "Can we afford to lose him? No, not really, because he is one of the best players in the world at the minute.”
Mark Noble believes West Ham team-mate Dimitri Payet will stay
United and Arsenal may look to Payet in the summer if West Ham do not properly recover their season.
Should Alexis Sanchez or Mesut Ozil leave the Emirates, Payet may be seen as a potential replacement having expressed his admiration of the Gunners.
And Manchester United have continually been linked with the Frenchman, with Mourinho eyeing big changes at Old Trafford over the coming transfer windows.
