Arjen Robben: I expect this Manchester United star to leave in January
ARJEN ROBBEN expects Memphis Depay to leave Manchester United.
Memphis Depay has failed to start a single Premier League for Man United this season
The 22-year-old has just 20 minutes worth of substitute appearances to his name in the Premier League since Jose Mourinho took over and has started just one game all season in all competitions.
Depay, who signed for Manchester United in a £25million deal from PSV Eindhoven in the summer of 2015, is wanted by Everton boss Ronald Koeman.
And his Holland international team-mate Robben reckons he could be on the move when the January window opens.
Arjen Robben is confident Depay can overcome his struggles at Old Trafford
“He (Depay) is a very talented player,” Bayern Munich midfielder Robben told Goal.
“It's a pity it didn't work at Manchester until now. He's playing very few matches.
"I'm expecting something to happen next time, maybe he will make a move in the winter break.”
Everton boss Ronald Koeman is interested in signing Depay
Everton have emerged as the frontrunners to sign the winger with manager Koeman confirming his interest in bringing Depay to Goodison Park last month.
The Everton boss told FOX Sports Netherlands programme De tafel van Kees: “He’s a young player with individual qualities, like aggression and efficiency.
“I would like him in January. He is a good and interesting player. He has shown that in his early days at Manchester United.
“But more recently it’s been less. He needs to play more games.
"I already wanted him at Southampton in 2015, but he picked Manchester United at the time, which was a logical choice."
Express Sport understands Depay is also attracting interest from Serie A giants Juventus and Roma.
