Swansea Exclusive: Gylfi Sigurdsson set for January exit - Inter and Roma keen on deal
SWANSEA CITY are losing the fight to keep hold of Icelandic star Gylfi Sigurdsson with Italian giants Inter Milan and Roma bidding to take him to Serie A.
Gylfi Sigurdsson could be set to leave Swansea in January
Sigurdsson only signed a new four year contract with the Premier League strugglers in January after an impressive showing in the European Championship Finals.
The Swans had to fend off interest from Premier League Champions Leicester as well as Everton for the £25million rated star before he penned a new deal.
Sigurdsson has been Swansea's stand-out performer this season
Sigurdsson has played a starring role for Swansea this season who are keen to keep hold of a player that they see as pivotal to their bid to avoid relegation.
But the Italian sides have been keeping careful tabs on his progress this season and have been impressed with what they have seen and checks they have made.
Swansea manager Bob Bradley may not have a say in keeping Sigurdsson at the Liberty Stadium
The Swans who sold Ashley Williams and Andre Ayew in the summer have slapped a hands off warning on Sigurdsson but Bob Bradley might not have a say in if he stays or goes.
Sigurdsson is believed to be interested in playing in European club competition and that is something Swansea wont be able to offer him any time in the immediate future.
