Alan Pardew impressed by Chelsea in Crystal Palace defeat
Chelsea equalled a club-record run of 11 consecutive Premier League victories in the win over Crystal Palace that strengthened their lead in the table.
Antonio Conte's side went nine points clear of closest challengers Liverpool and Arsenal with a goal from the in-form striker Diego Costa.
Pardew was pleased with Palace's performance at Selhurst Park but admits his side were well and truly second best today.
Chelsea continue winning streak
"We are showing in the last two games what we have shown most of the year. A strong performance but they did not give us anything,” Pardew said.
"That was a good as defensive display we have seen. Once we conceded, it was very difficult. It is a shame because we had some good chances in the first half.
"We could not get Wilfried Zaha isolated. We kept the ball and passed it well, but they final pass was very difficult.
Diego Costa scored Chelsea's winner
"For our offensive players, it was the toughest game they have had. This team is not getting what it is deserves, that will change.
"We have all come up against this system before but it is with outstanding players. They ask questions and do not make errors."
