Antonio Conte: This is what I thought of Chelsea’s win over Sunderland
ANTONIO CONTE admits Chelsea need to kill off games more after the Blues secured a 1-0 win at Sunderland.
Antonio Conte's Chelsea have now won 10 games in a row following victory at Sunderland
Cesc Fabregas, who came into the side in place of Nemanja Matic, struck to put Chelsea ahead in the first half.
But the Blues couldn’t add a second as Jordan Pickford kept out Marcos Alonso and Willian to keep the scorline respectable for Sunderland.
And Conte wants his side to start converting their chances as they continue their push towards the title.
Cesc Fabregas scored Chelsea's only goal in the victory at Sunderland
When you have the possibility to kill the game you must kill the game
"When you have the possibility to kill the game you must kill the game,” Conte said.
“We had this possibility but we didn't and at the end Courtois made a good save.
“It was good, it is important for the future because today we didn't pay but when you have the possibility to kill the game you must kill the game.
“I hope in the future we can improve.
"I prefer my players not to look at the table and to focus on the next game in three days.
“We must prepare very well to have a good Christmas."
