Jose Mourinho has named a 19-man squad for tomorrow's clash in Ukraine (6pm).
Manchester United need just a point to qualify for the knockout stages of the competition - while a win could see them top Group A.
However, Depay's name was noticeable among the absentees.
The Holland winger has made just once start since Mourinho succeeded Louis van Gaal as United boss in the summer.

Memphis Depay has endured a difficult time at Manchester United
He has made seven appearances with his absence prompting talk he could move to Everton.
But Depay does not seem too bothered about his latest Old Trafford setback.
Instead, the 22-year-old has taken to Instagram to post a snap of him and boxer Anthony Joshua.
Joshua takes on American Eric Molina in Manchester on Saturday aiming to defend his world heavyweight title.

And Depay, who is expected to be in attendance, has wished the British star luck.
"Great inspiration you are champ! It was a pleasure meeting you, I really enjoyed our talk @anthony_joshua #TeamUA #IWill," he said.
Depay was not the only United outcast absent from the squad.
Morgan Schneiderlin, who has toiled since joining from Southampton in 2015, and club veteran Michael Carrick have also been left behind.
