Sunderland confirm huge injury blow: Star to miss rest of season
DUNCAN WATMORE is set to miss the rest of Sunderland's season after scans revealed a cruciate ligament injury.

Duncan Watmore, who picked up the injury in Saturday's 2-1 win over Leicester, has visited a specialist in London and is facing an extended period on the sidelines.
The 22-year-old was taken off on a stretcher after a clash with Leicester's Christian Fuchs, and the scans have realised Moyes' worst fears.

A Sunderland statement read: "David Moyes has confirmed that Duncan Watmore is likely to miss the rest of the Black Cats' season following the results of his scan on Monday.
"Results from the scans revealed Watmore has suffered cruciate knee ligament damage."

Watmore's absence will be a significant blow for manager David Moyes who is already without long-term absentees Paddy McNair, Lynden Gooch and Lee Cattermole.
The England Under-21 forward had started 11 games for Sunderland this season and proved a major factor in their recent revival.
