It is thought Wenger will only dip into the market if his side is struck down by an injury crisis.

But once again, Wenger is believed to be confident that he has a squad strong enough to challenge for the title.
The only spot that the French tactician might look to beef up is at left-back, with Kieran Gibbs’ future up in the air, although it is thought the club might wait until the summer to do that.
