JURGEN KLOPP has defended Loris Karius after Liverpool’s defeat against Bournemouth earlier today.

Liverpool led twice against Bournemouth earlier today when they were 2-0 up at half-time and 3-1 ahead with 15 minutes to go.
However, they crumbled at the Vitality Stadium, as the Cherries pulled off an incredible comeback to win 4-3.
Karius spilled Steve Cook’s effort in the 93rd minute, and Chelsea loanee Nathan Ake poked the loose ball home.

But Klopp feels Karius was unfortunate with the mistake he made.
“The last goal was not a lucky situation for goalkeeper," Klopp said.
"Loris would have made a really decent save, this says nothing about him."
The German tactician also responded to criticism from Sky Sports pundit Jamie Carragher, who thinks Karius needs to make a 'massive improvement'.

He added: "No problem. If you make mistakes you get criticised.
"I'm sure somebody has criticised Jamie Carragher in his career."
As a result of the defeat, Liverpool have now slipped four points behind table-toppers Chelsea.
