The Cherries looked down and out at half-time and were two down due to goals from Sadio Mane and Divock Origi.
However, Bournemouth came roaring back through Callum Wilson, Ryan Fraser and Steve Cook getting on the scoresheet.
Ake then poked in from close range in injury-time to cap a stunning comeback.

And the defender, on loan from Liverpool's title rivals Chelsea, has revealed Howe was the driving force behind this afternoon's stunning result.
"It was an incredible comeback," he told Sky Sports.
"The first half they dominated us and we sat back too much. We gave away two early goals but we came back strong in he second half. We pressed them and did well.

"We just had to dig in and the gaffer at half-time said don't drop and just go out and express yourself. This result gives us confidence, Liverpool have been doing well and we just need to keep going now."
The win moves Bournemouth seven points clear of the relegation zone.
Liverpool, meanwhile, remain down in third - four points adrift of Chelsea.
