Manchester United News: Mourinho title claim, Van Gaal comparisons, Depay set for move
EXPRESS SPORT brings you the latest Manchester United news.
Everton vs Man Utd - Premier League match preview
Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho believes his side are not far off winning the Premier League.
United currently trail league leaders Chelsea by 14 points after the Blues' 3-1 win over Manchester City.
However, Mourinho believes they are heading in the right direction.
"The destination is for us to be champions," he said.
"I don't know when, maybe next year or in two years' time, maybe when I am not here and somebody else comes but, if we follow this direction, the destination is for us to be champions."
Manchester United are on the right track, according to Jose Mourinho
Marouane Fellaini believes Louis van Gaal is stricter than Jose Mourinho
Marouane Fellaini has explained the difference between Mourinho and his predecessor Louis van Gaal.
Van Gaal was axed as United boss despite beating Crystal Palace to win the FA Cup in May.
And Fellaini believes that the Dutchman was stricter than Mourinho has been so far.
"Louis van Gaal is stricter. Mourinho is strict, but not like Van Gaal," the Belgium international told Soccer AM's Tubes.
"It is funnier with Mourinho, the training changes all the time. It is not a routine. Van Gaal had his philosophy and he was strict but he was very different.
Memphis Depay has barely played for Manchester United this season
Memphis Depay could be set to end his United nightmare with a move to Roma, according to reports.
Depay has failed to make an impression on Mourinho so far this season.
Italian newspaper Corriere dello Sport claim that Roma are close to agreeing a deal for Depay in January.
Roma boss Luciano Spalletti is said to want the Holland winger to replace the injured Mohamed Salah.
Depay last played for United against Feyenoord in the Europa League last month. He has also been linked with a move to Everton.
