ANTHONY MARTIAL is performing better for Manchester United because he is working harder, Jose Mourinho has claimed.
Anthony Martial shows off talent with STUNNING goals
Martial has had a slow start to the season and has started just five Premier League games under Jose Mourinho.
The 20-year-old was also dropped by France boss Didier Deschamps and has not featured in their recent Word Cup qualifiers.
However, the winger put in a fine performance in the 4-1 EFL Cup win over West Ham on Wednesday night, scoring twice.

And Mourinho has claimed the Frenchman's upturn in form is simply because he is working harder.
"He is working harder than before, to be honest,” Mourinho said.
“When you score goals I think it helps for happiness to be back.
"As an attacking player you can play very, very well, but if there are no goals then the happiness is not there.”

Martial has made 14 appearances in all competitions this season, scoring four goals and providing two assists.
He is under contract with United until June 2019, having singed from Monaco in 2015 for £36million.
