Sadly there's a small minority [of fans] with a their own agenda who want pictures of him for an entirely different purpose
Rooney's representative Stretford told The Mirror: “Undoubtedly one of the sad byproducts of this whole situation and everything Wayne has had to deal with since the night after the Scotland game means we are having to review the whole process of when he's in public in his own time.
“Wayne has always been open to agreeing to pictures in public and enjoys engaging with the public as a normal person.
"That said, while 99.9 per cent of people who approach Wayne are entirely genuine in their motives, sadly there's a small minority with a their own agenda who want pictures of him for an entirely different purpose.”
