Philippe Coutinho injured his ankle ligaments in Liverpool's 2-0 win over Sunderland on Saturday.
He is expected to be out of tomorrow's EFL Cup clash with Leeds United at Anfield tomorrow.
"You know about Philippe. We will know more this afternoon," Klopp said ahead of the game.

"The best thing would be he is not out but it isn’t likely.
"We have to wait for the final scan.
"We know what it will probably be."
Liverpool have a number of injuries heading into the game with Championship side Leeds.

Philippe Coutinho came off in the first half against Sunderland
Adam Lallana was injured on international duty, while Daniel Sturridge missed the game with Sunderland.
Roberto Firmino also picked up a knock against the Black Cats and Klopp said: "Adam is close to being back in training but he won’t be ready.
"Daniel isn’t in training and we will have to wait on Firmino.
"We will have to see how he is after training today."
