MICHAEL CARRICK has praised the ‘incredible’ form of Manchester United team-mate Antonio Valencia.

Jose Mourinho has favoured the Manchester United winger as a makeshift right-back over Matteo Darmian this season.
The 31-year-old has started all but two Premier League outings, missing games against Burnley and Swansea after breaking his arm last month.
He made a surprise comeback from injury in the 1-1 draw at home to Arsenal on Saturday and claimed the Man of the Match award.

And Red Devils midfielder Carrick believes Valencia, who was limited to just 14 league appearances last term due to injury, has taken to his new full-back role effortlessly.
He told MUTV: "Antonio has been incredible at right-back since he has moved to that position.

"He just looks so dangerous going forward but, at the same time, he is so solid defensively.
"His positional play has improved a lot and I think that’s told. He has been our best player in a lot of our games this season.
"To come back so quick from a broken bone speaks volumes for him and his attitude to get back and play."
