ARSENE WENGER says Wayne Rooney should not be too strongly criticised after images emerged of the player looking worse for wear at a wedding.

Wayne Rooney was snapped partying into the early hours of Sunday morning - before he was sent home from the England camp with a knee injury.
Rooney has apologised for the incident and may be fit to play for Manchester United in Saturday's 12.30pm clash with Arsenal.
And Wenger believes the incident has been blown out of proportion.
“Of course (it’s less of a problem than it used to be)," Wenger said.
"My advice to players is to follow the advice of their managers and coaches.

"Overall it is part of youth to make mistakes and, after that, analyse well.
"All the big players make mistakes, but they address it in a positive way.”
Express Sport understands United manager Jose Mourinho is furious with the FA for being with Rooney at the bar on Saturday night and neglecting their duty of care.
Mourinho is not angry with Rooney but is frustrated that he was not shielded from guests at a wedding at the team's hotel in Watford.
