MANCHESTER UNITED are close to sealing a deal for Corinthians left-back Guilherme Arana, according to reports.

The report cites a football insider who claims that the player's representatives arrived in England on Tuesday for talks over a winter deal.
His performances for the Brazilian side has seen him turn the heads of the Premier League's elite, with Tottenham also keeping tabs on him.
Shaw isn't the only United full-back to have failed to convince Mourinho of his worth so far this season.
Daley Blind and Matteo Darmian have both toiled with United currently languishing in sixth, eight points behind league leaders Liverpool.

If the deal goes ahead, Arana will be the latest former Corinthians ace to grace the top flight.
Carlos Tevez and Javier Mascherano both forged good careers for themselves in England after signing for West Ham in August 2006.
Tevez went on to win the title with United and fierce rivals Manchester City before leaving for Juventus in 2013.
And Mascherano excelled at Liverpool under Rafa Benitez, with his displays earning him a move to Barcelona in August 2010.
