Man United star Michael Carrick sends message to Jose Mourinho ahead of Arsenal clash
MICHAEL CARRICK has told Jose Mourinho he can still make a ‘big contribution’ at Manchester United this season.

The 35-year-old has made just five starts all season under Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho and is in contention to start against Arsenal at Old Trafford on Saturday (12.30pm).
United have won all five games that Carrick has started, including the EFL Cup tie against rivals Manchester City and their last Premier League outing against Swansea.

And Carrick, who Mourinho branded ‘phenomenal’ and wishes was 10 years younger, insists he can still play a big part in United’s quest for Premier League glory.
"I've seen it before, many times, with players who've come through this club and come towards the end of their careers still being able to make such a big contribution,” Carrick said.

"It doesn't have to be every week, it doesn't have to be grabbing headlines every week but there's a contribution to be made and I've seen it many times in the time I've been here.
"Hopefully I've learned from that and I can give my contribution in some sort of way."
Carrick has made 293 appearances for United since joining from Tottenham in 2006 and is contracted to the club until the end of the season.
