Napoli are unwilling to do business in January but could entertain offers for the Guinea-born enforcer when the transfer window reopens next summer.
The addition of Diawara could spell the end for Stamford Bridge duo Cesc Fabregas and John Obi Mikel, who are seemingly out-of-favour with Conte.

Fabregas has featured little under the fiery Italian, making just four Premier League appearances and a further two EFL Cup matches against Bristol Rovers and Leicester.
Meanwhile Mikel, 29, is yet to register a single appearance and has entered the final eight months of his contract.
