ARSENAL defender Per Mertesacker has posted a positive update on his recovery from a knee injury.

Mertesacker is yet to feature for Arsenal this term after suffering a knee injury in the Gunners' pre-season friendly with Lens.
The former Germany international was ruled out for a 'number of months' by manager Arsene Wenger and he appears to be progressing well.

The 32-year-old centre-half posted amusing photos on Twitter of himself doing yoga as part of his rehabilitation regime.
He tweeted: "Yoga has been a really important part of my rehab, helping me get back to peak physical condition! #NearlyThere"
Arsenal had an injury scare when striker Alexis Sanchez suffered a “low-grade muscle” problem during international duty with Chile.
Per Mertesacker is yet to feature for Arsenal this season
The 27-year-old was ruled out of Chile's World Cup qualifier with Colombia last night but is expected to return to action on Tuesday to face Uruguay.
The Gunners also have Santi Cazorla, Lucas Perez, Hector Bellerin (all ankle), Danny Welbeck (knee) and Chuba Akpom (back) on the treatment table.
