And Leonardo, who used to be a good friend of Mourinho, has suggested the Portuguese tactician's career is fading.
The former AC Milan and Inter Milan manager has also criticised United's spending in the summer, having seen little return from their £150m outlay.

Leonardo said on Sky Italia: "I think they misread the transfer market. They have spent too much and harvested little so far.
"It was best to divide all that money to build the best team. The best buy was the central defender [Eric Bailly].
"There is a bit of Mourinho in this. He’s a bit like [Lucio] Dalla, who after good songs in the 70s never quite repeated that success."
