Wolves sacked Walter Zenga earlier this month and are yet to replace the Italian.
Paul Ince has already confirmed he wants the job, while Nigel Pearson is said to have had a second interview for the role.
But the Express and Star claim Wolves are exploring further options as they search for the right man.

According to the report, Tim Sherwood and Paul Lambert are also in the frame to take over a Molineux.
Sherwood has not managed a club since being let go by Aston Villa at the end of the 2014/15 season, while Lambert lost his job at Blackburn back in May.
According to the claims, however, Pearson remains the bookies' favourite despite a lukewarm reception from fans.
Interim boss Rob Edwards may hope he secures the job full time after overseeing Wolves' 1-1 draw with Blackburn last weekend.
Edwards took over from Zenga, who left the club languishing near the relegation zone three months into his tenure.
Former England manager Sam Allardyce is said to have rejected the opportunity to manage the Midlands outfit.
