Reports claim this Manchester United legend is set for talks with MK Dons
MANCHESTER UNITED legend Ryan Giggs is wanted by MK Dons to succeed Karl Robinson as manager, according to reports.
Ryan Giggs is being considered for the vacant MK Dons post
The League One side sacked Robinson with the club down in 20th in the league table.
And, according to The Mail on Sunday, Giggs has been identified as the man to steer the club back to the Championship.
Chairman Pete Winkelman will check on Giggs' availability before speaking to other potential candidates.
Ryan Giggs helped Manchester United win the FA Cup last season
Winkelman is said to want a manager that is capable of lifting the doom and gloom mood that has so far engulfed their season.
Giggs has been out of work since leaving Old Trafford in the summer despite being linked with roles at Swansea and Wigan.
The former Wales international spent two years working under Louis van Gaal, winning the FA Cup with a 2-1 victory over Crystal Palace in his final game in the role.
Ryan Giggs' Man Utd career by numbers
Ryan Giggs briefly managed Manchester United in 2014
His only managerial experience of his career so far came at the end of the 2013/2014 season, when David Moyes was sacked by Manchester United and Giggs filled in for the final four games of the campaign.
Giggs helped United sweep aside Norwich and Hull but the club lost to Sunderland and drew with Southampton as United finished seventh - their lowest-ever Premier League finish.
