Sunderland are still without a league win and five points adrift of safety at the bottom of the table.

The pressure will intensify if Sunderland's winless run stretches to 10 games against Arsenal tomorrow but, crucially, there is currently no appetite within the boardroom for change.
Short retains faith in Moyes while chief executive Martin Bain is determined to break the cycle which has resulted in Sunderland not having finished a season with the same manager they started with since Steve Bruce in 2010.

Last night Moyes was charged by the FA after being sent off at St Mary's for leaving his technical area and swearing at the fourth official.
After the game Moyes' squad were left stranded in Southampton when their plane was grounded on the runaway by fog. They were forced to spend an extra night in their hotel before undertaking a recovery session on the south coast yesterday morning, finally arriving back in the North-East yesterday afternoon.
