DANIEL STURRIDGE’S technique has been described as 'ridiculous' by Graeme Souness.
Daniel Sturridge - 5 things you need to know
The England international made a rare start for Liverpool as they beat Tottenham 2-1 last night at Anfield.
Sturridge proved the difference as he hit a double to help the Reds progress to the quarter-finals of the EFL Cup.
But former Reds midfielder-turned-pundit Souness has explained why he is not surprised Sturridge isn’t a regular first teamer.
“You can see why he's not in the starting XI. The manager wants to play a high-pressing game with high tempo, you have to be very fit and be willing to run around," Souness said.
"When you look at Sturridge, the first thing you see is his ridiculous technique. It's as good as anybody.
