DONALD TRUMP introduced himself to English football fans in 1992 when the Football League invited him to conduct the League Cup draw.

The incident took place on a special edition of the Saint & Greavsie show, which by 1992 had been running for seven years.
Former footballers Ian St John and Jimmy Greaves were the hosts and went out on a Saturday lunchtime with the pair usually discussing the games coming up that afternon.

They were also asked by the Football League to conduct the draw for the quarter-finals of the League Cup.
"I said I’ve got a number for Robert De Niro, I’ll try him," said broadcaster Jim Rosenthal years later.
“And they came back. ‘Bobby would love to do that for ya but he’s otherwise engaged’.
The final tie saw Greaves pull out Leeds' number before Trump revealed they would play Manchester United.
“You don’t realise what you’ve done there!” shouted Greaves.
“That sounds like a game I’d wanna go to,” replied Trump.
