Warren Joyce could join Steve Bruce at Aston Villa
Villa are widely expected to appoint Bruce as their new manager after sacking Roberto Di Matteo.
Bruce has been out of a job since leaving Hull in the summer.
It is thought the 55-year-old could bring a couple of Mike Phelan's current back room team - assistant Stephan Clemence and goalkeeping coach Gary Walsh.
And according to the Daily Mail, he wants to make more additions to his prospective team should he get the job.
It is believed Villa are keen to take Joyce.
The 51-year-old has helped develop the career of several youngsters, including Paul Pogba and Marcus Rashford.
Villa are thought to be impressed with Joyce's motivational skills.
Unbelievable facts about Manchester United
Bruce admitted last week that he has held talks with Villa and expects to hear in the next few days.
"I’ve had a chat with him, and that’s as far as it’s gone," Bruce said.
"They did say they were in a process, which you have to respect.
“I’m hoping that I’ll hear something this week."
