Man United considering making radical change: Fans could be pleased
MANCHESTER UNITED are reportedly considering having a small section for safe standing at Old Trafford.
Manchester United are thinking of implementing safe standing at Old Trafford
United's current capacity is 75,635.
However, it seems they have plans to revamp their home.
According to the Daily Mail, a group of club officials have already paid a visit to Celtic's ground Parkhead, to establish whether they could have a similar-sized safe standing section.
At present, it is thought United aren't against the idea.
The report suggests Old Trafford is not structurally sound enough to support a large standing area, so if the plans goes ahead, a maximum capacity of 3,000 would be permitted.
It is thought the plans would be subject to legislation.
The 1989 Football Spectators Act states all stadia in the two top divisions must be all-seater.

It is also believed the Department for Culture, Media and Sport are keeping a close eye on developments.
However, if they are approved, the J Stand, the main singing section, will benefit.
United are away against Liverpool on Monday (8pm).
