Chelsea line up shock move for Tottenham star in January
CHELSEA are reportedly considering a move for Tottenham defender Ben Davies.
Chelsea want Tottenham's Ben Davies
That is according to ESPN FC, who claim Antonio Conte is desperate to strengthen this back line in January and boost Chelsea's number of homegrown players.
The Blues have shipped nine goals in four games this month - with their only win coming against Leicester in the EFL Cup - despite investing £56million on centre-half David Luiz and left-back Marco Alonso on deadline day.
And now Conte is reportedly keen to strengthen his defence with Tottenham full-back Davies when the transfer window reopens in January.
Chelsea reportedly registered an interest in the Wales international during the summer following his impressive performances to help his nation to the Euro 2016 semi-finals.
The 23-year-old has struggled for game time since arriving from Swansea in the summer of 2014, with Mauricio Pochettino favouring Danny Rose on the left side of defence.
However, Tottenham are keen to keep hold of Davies and are unlikely to accept a bid from their London rivals and fellow title contenders.
