LUKAS PODOLSKI has taken a swipe at Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho for his treatment of Bastian Schweinsteiger.

The 32-year-old midfielder has been ostracised from the United squad by Mourinho and is highly unlikely to play again for the club.
Despite his situation, Schweinsteiger is unwilling to play for another European team and seems set to see out the rest of his contract on the sidelines.
He told German newspaper Bild: “What happened to (Schweinsteiger) is unfair. It is not correct to deport Basti to the second team.
“A coach must always keep the doors open to all players."

The ex-Arsenal attacker then hinted Schweinsteiger’s future could lie in Major League Soccer in America.
He added: “I think America is great. Moving abroad is good for personality development and it would also be good for our children.
“Clearly it would be possible to play with Schweinsteiger in the States.”
