Liverpool send scouts to watch French striker: Jurgen Klopp eyeing January move
LIVERPOOL reportedly sent scouts to watch Sassuolo striker Gregoire Defrel yesterday.
Liverpool apparently scouted Gregoire Defrel yesterday
The French striker has been in fine form this season, and scored in his sides Europa League win over Athletic Bilbao last week.
And he continued his impressive form yesterday, scoring a diving header in Sassuolo's 2-0 win over Genoa in Serie A.
The Sun claim Klopp now wants to bring the 25-year-old to Anfield in January.
The report adds the German sent Liverpool scouts to watch the striker in action during yesterday's clash with Genoa.
The Reds boss is apparently keen on bringing another striker to Anfield to compete with Daniel Sturridge and Divock Origi.
Defrel has spent his whole career in Italy, originally joining Parma in 2009.
He first came to promise at Cesena, helping the club to promotion from Serie B, before joining Sassuolo for £6million in 2015.
