Raiola on Arsenal
Arsenal are not tough enough to compete in the transfer market, believes agent Mino Raiola.
The Gunners are notoriously frugal with their transfer spending despite having cash reserves to match Europe’s elite.
Both Manchester United and Manchester City spent around £150million on new players in the summer.
Arsenal, meanwhile, bought four players for around £55m.
Rashford set for deal
Manchester United are ready to offer Marcus Rashford a £50,000-a-week contract.
The Sun claim the deal will make Rashford, 18, the highest-earning teenager in football alongside Bayern Munich’s Renato Sanches.
The Mail on Sunday had claimed United were wary that Rashford could leave the club on a free transfer in much the same way Paul Pogba quit Old Trafford for Juventus in 2012.
Rashford signed a £1m-a-season contract at United back in May that keeps him at a club until 2020.
But he is now tipped to greatly boost his wages in a sign a faith from United that he is part of their long-term plans.
Rashford started out wide in United’s 3-1 defeat to Watford on Sunday and scored the consolation goal as manager Jose Mourinho stuck with 34-year-old Zlatan Ibrahimovic up front.
