Leeds skipper Liam Bridcutt is out with a foot injury, while Kemar Roofe is on the bench after recovering his fitness.
Ronaldo Vieira replaces Bridcutt, while Kyle Bartley is named captain.
As for Cardiff, manager Paul Trollope makes changes from the side that lost 3-0 to Preston in midweek.
