Jose Mourinho receives a fitness blow ahead of Manchester United's Europa League clash
MANCHESTER UNITED midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan could be out for 10 days after aggravating a thigh injury.
Henrikh Mkhitaryan: This is how you pronounce my name
The former Borussia Dortmund star was substituted at half time against Manchester City in the derby on Saturday.
That was his first start at United since completing his £26million move from the Bundesliga side.
But he was criticised for his performance and gave the ball away too many times for Jose Mourinho’s liking.
And, according to the Times, he will have to wait for another chance to prove himself after the injury he picked up on international duty was aggravated.
He hurt his thigh against Czech Republic on August 31 and was a doubt for the derby.
But Mourinho threw him in before hooking him after 45 minutes.
Henrikh Mkhitaryan faces another 10 days on the sidelines
United went 2-0 down as Kevin De Bruyne ran riot at Old Trafford before Zlatan Ibrahimovic got them back in the match.
But United were unable to find an equaliser and head to Feyenoord tomorrow night to kick off their Europa League campaign.
Mourinho is expected to ring the changes but it looks like he will be without Mkhitaryan for the next three games.
